During their period regular meetings, annual dinners and other social activities were held regularly. The Old students Association remained active during the principal ships of Dr. Ms. Ali Muhammad, Dr. Kaneez Fatima Yousaf, Mrs. Razia Noor Muhammad and Dr. Ms. Iqbal Dar. Afterwards, due to ban on students' unions, the activities of Old Students Association remained suspended for quite some time. The Old Students Association was named as Lahore College Old Students' Association, abbreviated as LCA. The constitution of LCA was developed by senior prominent Alumnae and Logo of LCA was designed by Ms. Nighat Mehboob, an Alumna and Lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts in 1991. Begum Masood Sadiq, an Alumna of session 1939-42, was elected as president and Ms. Naeema Mohsin as the General Secretary. Since then LCA is trying to play an active role in to promote a goodwill and sense of pride to both alumnae and students and to help and support alumnus develop and spread a philanthropic and entrepreneurial mindset among students. LCA remained most active during the president ship of Professor Dr. Bushra Mateen. Many clubs and activities were initiated. Regular meetings, annual dinners, music programs were held. Dr. Farhat Saleemi, Mrs. Tanweer Islam and their team took the charge of LCA office in 2019. This team upgraded the Bylaws and constituted various sub committees and developed strategic plan Activity wise there was a down time during COVID pandemic. However during that period LCA collected and contributed generously, both in cash and in kind, for pandemic affectess, flood affectees, underprivileged employees of LCWU and much more. The trust level between University and LCA was also somewhat reduced during this period. These days, the University and the Alumnae Association have a strong relationship. Both are trying to align strategic plans with the needs of the University financially, academically and administratively. LCWU Alumnae are, and will continue to be, central to the continued success of that relationship and of the University moving forward. The Alumnae Association is here to provide and to catalyze the development of services for current students of LCWU and alumnae, whether at the chapter level or coming from the University or from the alumnae association itself as much as possible.
